Imperial Group Appoints New Director

Malcolm Wyman has been appointed an independent non-executive director of Imperial Tobacco Group PLC, effective today. Malcolm was the CFO and finance director of SABMiller until his retirement in August. He joined SABMiller in 1986 and held a number of senior positions that culminated in his appointment as CFO and finance director in 2001. Malcolm is also a Non-Executive Director of Nedbank Group Limited and Tsogo Sun Group. Meanwhile, Pierre Jungels will retire as a non-executive director at the conclusion of Imperial's 2012 AGM, having served nine years on the board. "I am delighted to welcome Malcolm to the board," said chairman, Iain Napier. "Malcolm has considerable international experience in driving growth in the FMCG industry; his expertise will be a great addition to the Board. "I would also like to thank Pierre for his tremendous contribution to the board over the last nine years, and wish him well for the future." Enditem
