SM Injects Carnival Passion Into Kardus Snus

This year's version of Swedish Match's luxurious, limited-edition Kardus snus is Carnival Blend - a colorful tribute to Brazilian carnival, passion and pleasure. It has been manufactured using tobacco that was grown ecologically and air dried on selected plantations at Rio Grande do Sul, southern Brazil. And its flavor has been enhanced with the country's national liquor - a fruity cachaça. Carnival Blend has been laced with Sagatiba Velha, an award-winning cachaça made from pure, freshly squeezed, sugar-cane juice. The combination of ingredients is said to create a pleasurable impact on all of the senses. "The fragrance is a complex blend of newly ground coffee and a delicate nuttiness, soothed by a sweetness that is reminiscent of figs," said Conny Andersson, who is a tobacco expert at Swedish Match. "The flavor is a combination of spicy oak tones, herbs and new-mown hay." And this glowing tribute to carnival, fiesta and happiness is said to be particularly reflected in the product's extravagant packaging. Only 600 packages of Kardus will be manufactured and these will be made available at nine selected tobacco shops in the Swedish cities of Stockholm, Gothenburg, Malmö, Sundsvall, Uppsala and Haparanda from November 7, which continues a tradition of making this special snus available in time for Father's Day.
