Cabin is Byname for Sophisticated Smoking

As part of a redesign of its Cabin brand, Japan Tobacco Inc. is introducing bynames for the various products that make up the brand. So Cabin Mild Box will be known also as Original Red 8; Cabin Super Mild Box will be Vessel Black 5; Cabin Ultra Mild Box will be Cruiser Silver 2; Cabin One Tasty 100's Box will be Anchor White 1; and Cabin Roast Blend 100's Box will be Jibe Red 8. The bynames are related to the boat cabins from which the brand name was derived. The redesign will not affect the taste of the cigarettes, which are said to be known for their "roasted flavor" and "rich aroma". Indeed, under the concept of "cigarettes for sophisticated adults", the Cabin products are being redesigned so as to evoke these distinctive taste and aroma characteristics. "The package expresses the cigarettes' quality with an elegant design featuring the brand's red colour and the 'CA' label signifying 'the leisurely passing of quality time' in all five Cabin products, ensuring overall brand consistency," said a note posted on the company's website.
