HongyunHonghe Completes Project of Upgrading Coding System

HongyunHonghe Tobacco Group in southwest China's tobacco-producing Yunnan Province - the largest Chinese tobacco manufacturer - has recently completed the project of upgrading its coding system in accordance with the relevant requirement of the State Tobacco Monopoly Administration for technological transformation.

On September 21, a panel of experts organized by China Tobacco Industry E-Commerce Company held a meeting at Kunming Cigarette Factory of HongyunHonghe on the appraisal for technical acceptance of the project of upgrading the coding system of HongyunHonghe, which was designated by the STMA as a pilot project of upgrading and transforming the system of centralized control over coding in production by the tobacco industry. The panel of experts included Chief Engineer Wang Jinliang of China Tobacco Industry E-Commerce Company affiliated to the STMA, Division Chief Jiang Tao from the Planning Department of the STMA, Deputy Division Chief Qiu Xuejun from the Economic Information Center of the STMA and Deputy Director Tian Kun of the Information Management Department of Yunnan Provincial China Tobacco Industry Corporation as well as experts from Shanghai Tobacco Group, Hunan Provincial China Tobacco Industry Corporation, Anhui Provincial China Tobacco Industry Corporation and Hongta Group. Speaking at the meeting, HongyunHonghe Deputy CEO Wang Jiashou briefed the panel of experts on the operation of the coding system in production by HongyunHonghe, and the operating situation of the units of Kunming Cigarette Factory designated to execute the pilot project of upgrading and transforming the system of centralized control over coding in production by the tobacco industry. In the process of appraisal for technical acceptance, the panel of experts conducted on-site test and inspection of the upgraded and transformed system of centralized control over coding in production by Kunming Cigarette Factory, and deliberated the work of execution of the project by HongyunHonghe.

Speaking on the same occasion, Jiang Tao announced that the panel of experts, on the basis of on-site test, inspection and deliberation, unanimously agreed that the fulfillment of the project has contributed to making coding in production by the tobacco industry more effective, strengthening supervision in the process of coding, and enhancing the function of supervision and control over operation of the coding system. He said that the upgraded and transformed system is capable of meeting the data requirement for statistics, etc, and meets the data requirement of the STMA for decision making on data, emphasizing that the project is up to the designed target of the coding system, and that it fully meets the requirements for technical acceptance.
