Joint Lab Holds Annual Meeting on Past Achievements, Future Development

Hongta-Reascend Tobacco Technology Joint Lab - co-founded by Hongta Group and Reascend Technology Co., Ltd. in southwest China's tobacco-producing Yunnan Province - held an annual meeting in Yuxi City of Yunnan on September 16 on the achievements it has made since its established in April 2010, and on planning for its development over the next year. Attending the meeting were Inspector Zhang Guoliang and Deputy CEO Zhang Jianhua of Hongta Group, Deputy Board of Directors Chairman Wang Baoxing and Executive CEO Duan Jiming of Reascend Technology Co., Ltd. and relevant personnel from the joint lab. It was reported that since the establishment of Hongta-Reascend Tobacco Technology Joint Lab in April 2010, Hongta Group and Reascend Technology Co., Ltd. have actively explored new orientations of research and development, and jointly conducted research and development focused on the development of new technology for cut tobacco expansion and redrying and new cut tobacco curing technology, and improvement of the tobacco cutting technology process and quality appraisal system. The joint lab, on the basis of doing a good job of its routine work, has actively promoted its operation by organizing training, academic activities, short-term work exchanges, reporting research achievements, etc, making new progress and breakthrough in the research and development of new cut tobacco expansion and redrying technology and new cut tobacco curing technology. In its operation in the 2011-2012 period, the joint lab will strengthen efforts for technological human resources development and technological exchange, strive to promote its work of research and development and industrial application to a higher level, and accelerate the application of its newly developed technology in production.
