China: Local Company in Smooth Execution of Project of Technological Transformation

Longyan Tobacco Industry Co., Ltd. in southeast China's Fujian Province is in smooth execution of its project of technological transformation aimed at reducing the content of harmful substances in cigarettes, and making cigarette smoking safer and less harmful to human health. The project of technological transformation mainly includes the construction of a 12,500-square-meter new workshop building for cut leaf expansion, partial transformation of a joint workshop building, installation of a new 1,140-kg/h dry ice cut tobacco expansion line, installation of a new 3,000kg/h minor cut tobacco production line, construction of cut tobacco storage and distribution systems, support facilities, etc. The execution of the project of technological transformation is intended to meet the trend of reducing the content of tar and other harmful substances in cigarette products on the part of China's tobacco industry, and further develop markets of low-tar-level cigarette products. The installation of the new dry ice cut tobacco expansion line is expected to meet the requirement of formulas of Longyan Tobacco Industry Co., Ltd. for producing new products, enhance the capacity of the local tobacco industry to produce cigarette products of the Seven Wolves brand family, and make the company more flexible and adaptable to market changes.
