BAT Chief Harps on Importance of Water

The General Manager, British American Tobacco, West Africa, Mr Hugo Norman, has urged the people of Baba Ode in Itesiwaju Local Government of Oyo State to make the best the use of a solar-powered borehole donated to the community by the British American Tobacco Nigeria (BATN) foundation, saying the foundation decided to construct the facility in view of the importance of water to life. Mr Norman, who said this during the commissioning and donation ceremony of the borehole to the community, recently, said the foundation was committed to partnering government and its institutions anywhere in the country to empower people by providing projects and facilities that would ensure sustainable development of people, especially those at the grassroots.
