LONDON -(Dow Jones)- British American Tobacco PLC (BATS.LN), said Tuesday it purchased 150,000 of its Ordinary shares of 25 pence each at an average price of 2,711.5848 pence per share, adding that it intends to hold these shares in Treasury. MAIN FACTS: -The highest price paid was 2,725 pence per share and the lowest price paid was 2,697.5 pence per share. -Following the purchase of these shares, the Company holds 48,524,554 of its shares in Treasury. -The Company has 1,977,446,221 ordinary shares in issue excluding Treasury shares. -Shares closed Tuesday at 272 pence, valuing the company at GBP53.87 billion.
