China: Guangdong Provincial Corporation Inaugurates New Laboratories

Guangdong Provincial China Tobacco Industry Corporation - the operator of the tobacco industry in south China's Guangdong Province - have recently inaugurated a paper-process reconstituted tobacco laboratory and a tobacco analysis joint scientific laboratory newly established in cooperation with Sun Yat-Sen University and Huabao International Holdings Limited. On July 21, a grand ceremony was held at Guangdong Provincial China Tobacco Industry Corporation to inaugurate the two laboratories and sign agreements with Sun Yat-Sen University and Huabao International on joint operation of the two laboratories. The tobacco analysis joint scientific laboratory, as an extension of the existing analysis and test platform, will further sharpen the competitive edge of Guangdong Provincial China Tobacco Industry Corporation in the field of tobacco chemical analysis science; provide highly efficient and accurate data support for the research of major core technologies for lowering the content of tar and other harmful substances, increasing aroma and keeping moisture of tobacco products, quality improvement, product safety control, etc; enable Guangdong Provincial China Tobacco Industry Corporation to realize major breakthrough in tobacco analysis and test technology; and enhance the core competitiveness of its brands through conversion and application of scientific-technological research achievements. Guangdong Provincial China Tobacco Industry Corporation says it will give priority to launching cooperation with Sun Yat-Sen University and Huabao International in the fields of technology for testing results of reducing the content of tar and other harmful substances in tobacco products, analysis of complicated tobacco systems separation, quality safety monitoring, chemical measurement, etc. Enditem
