China: Xuzhou Cigarette Factory Successfully Completes Research of Applied Technology

Xuzhou Cigarette Factory of Jiangsu Provincial China Tobacco Industry Corporation in east China's Jiangsu Province has successfully completed the research of the applied technology of leaf tobacco shreds and cut stem expansion, assigned by the tobacco industry of China as an exclusive key project of technological research. Recently, the State Tobacco Monopoly Administration (STMA) - the regulator of China's tobacco industry - designated a panel of experts to appraise the project of technological research. As a result, the project smoothly passed the appraisal. Xuzhou Cigarette Factory is the first Chinese cigarette making enterprise introducing a leaf tobacco shreds and cut stem expansion line. The factory's successful completion of the research of the applied technology of leaf tobacco shreds and cut stem expansion meant a milestone in its endeavor to promote its leaf tobacco cutting equipment to a higher level, conducting technological innovation and product innovation, and exploring new ideas on cigarette product designing.
