HongyunHonghe in Orderly Application of Information Systems

HongyunHonghe Tobacco Group in southwest China's tobacco-producing Yunnan Province - the largest Chinese tobacco manufacturer - is in orderly application of a series of management information systems including the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, in efforts to modernize its production and marketing processes. So far, HongyunHonghe's ERP project has entered the stage of full-scale realization. The tobacco group has started the process of systemic configuration of the business blueprints formed on the basis of discussion in a previous period of time. On the basis of sufficient discussion of the list of configuration, it is making preparations for the formulation of configuration files. So far, it has basically completed the process of systematic configuration and unit testing and verification. Systemic development is being carried out gradually in accordance with planning. For the project of developing a Manufacturing Execution System (MES) for the headquarters of HongyunHonghe, the work of investigation and research for its main business requirements has been basically completed. Presently, the project is in a stage of functional designing. In this stage, the main points of the work concerned are to conduct functional designing in accordance with the relevant explanatory memorandums on requirements for specifications, formulate explanatory memorandums on functional designing, operate human resources training for the organizational system development platform, create a favorable environment for systemic development, make original interface designing and functional designing, etc. The orderly application of management information systems at HongyunHonghe signifies continued promotion of information-based management at the tobacco group to a higher level, which will in turn contribute to greatly supporting efforts of HongyunHonghe to upgrade its information-based management of production and marketing, and enhancing the overall competition capacity of HongyunHonghe.
