Delegation From Havana Cigar Group Visits Provisional Corporation

A delegation from Havana cigar group of Cuba, led by the group's representative in Beijing, visited Shandong Provincial China Tobacco Industry Corporation in east China's Shandong Province on July 11-12, for talks on the development of possible business cooperation in cigar production and marketing between the two sides.

During the visit, the Cuban delegation held talks with officials with Shandong Provincial China Tobacco Industry Corporation, including the international business department's deputy chief Wang Zhaojun and the cigar production center's preparatory office chief Yao Xueyu. In the talks, the two sides briefed each other on their respective brands development and basic situation, and exchanged views on issues concerning marketing. In particular, the two sides conducted in-depth exchange of views on the development of possible business cooperation between them, and held extensive discussions on bilateral cooperation in technology, raw materials supply, human resources development, brands development, marketing, etc. The Cuban delegation visited Jinan Cigarette Factory and the cigar production center of Shandong Provincial China Tobacco Industry Corporation, highly commenting on the level of equipment and processing of Jinan Cigarette Factory, briefly introducing the advantages of the tobacco industry of Cuba in cigar processing and pretreatment of raw materials, and putting forward constructive opinions on the establishment of the cigar production center of Shandong Provincial China Tobacco Industry Corporation. Both the international business department and the cigar production center of Shandong Provincial China Tobacco Industry Corporation have expressed the readiness to regularly hold communication and exchange with Havana cigar group, in order to actively promote the group's international cooperation in cigar production, and develop a new point of economic growth for Shandong Provincial China Tobacco Industry Corporation.
