NOTIFICATION OF TRANSACTIONS BY DIRECTORS, PERSONS DISCHARGING MANAGERIAL RESPONSIBILITY OR CONNECTED PERSONS Notification made in accordance with Disclosure Rule 3.1.4R(1)(a) of the Disclosure Rules and Transparency Rules. The independent Trustee of the British American Tobacco Group Employee Trust (the "Trust") notified the Company on 1 July 2011 that it had on 30 June 2011 transferred the beneficial interest in a total of 74,962 British American Tobacco p.l.c. 25p ordinary shares (the "Shares") subject to awards granted under the British American Tobacco 2007 Long Term Incentive Plan (the "2007 LTIP") to the following executive director and person discharging managerial responsibility ("PDMR") as follows:
