BAT Swaps Europe And Americas Heads

British American Tobacco has announced that it is swapping the heads of its Western Europe and Americas regions. Jack Bowles, who has been regional director responsible for Western Europe since 2009, will assume responsibility for the Americas region, while Mark Cobben, who has been managing the Americas since 2007, will take responsibility for Western Europe. Both changes will be effective from October 1. "This change will enable the group to have broader regional experience on the management board which we believe is critical for a globally aligned organization," said chief executive, Nicandro Durante. "I would like to congratulate both directors on the excellent performance of the regions under their leadership." Enditem
