China:ERP Project of Provincial Corporation Passes Final Appraisal for Technical Acceptance

The project of Jiangsu Provincial China Tobacco Industry Corporation in east China's Jiangsu Province to establish its Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and data center has recently passed final appraisal for technical acceptance by a panel of inspectors authorized by the Planning Department of the State Tobacco Monopoly Administration (STMA).

On June 28, Jiangsu Provincial China Tobacco Industry Corporation held a meeting in the provincial capital city of Nanjing on the appraisal for technical acceptance of its ERP project under the auspices of the STMA.
Jiangsu Provincial China Tobacco Industry Corporation started the execution of its ERP project in early 2008. Through efforts for more than two years, the ERP project was basically fulfilled in the first half of 2010, with completion of the designing of modules for management over production, raw materials, supplies, parts and components, equipment, quality, accounting, costs, budgets, reporting consolidation, audit, projects, advanced planning, marketing, customer relations, human resources, databanks, etc on the part of Jiangsu Provincial China Tobacco Industry Corporation.
Afterwards, the newly established ERP system got online for operation in three phases, and initial appraisal for technical acceptance of the sub-modules of the project was completed in July 2010.
After hearing reports on the fulfillment of the ERP project, testing of the project, item-by-item appraisal and opinions from users of the ERP system, the panel of inspectors, in the final review, unanimously agreed to have the ERP project of Jiangsu Provincial China Tobacco Industry Corporation finally pass the appraisal for technical acceptance.
