New Research Takes The Biscuit

Researchers at Gujarat's Anand Agricultural University (AAU) have isolated a protein powder from leaf tobacco protein concentrate as part of a continuing effort to develop alternative uses for tobacco, according to a story in the latest issue of the BBM Bommidala Group newsletter. The scientists say the protein, developed by AAU's Bidi Tobacco Research Center, can be used safely to make biscuits and other confectionary items. Enditem
