Major Materials Savings in Smaller Snus Cans

Mini format versions of General and Göteborgs Rapé, two of the most popular types of snus sold in Sweden, are now available in smaller cans. Niklas Krohn, brand manager at Swedish Match, said that mini format snus had been "tremendously appreciated" by the company's customers, but that many of them had been asking for cans to be made as discreet as the portions. While the new cans will use about 21 per cent less plastic than do the traditional packs, they will hold just as many portions (about 20) and the snus will be packed in the same star formation.
