Hauni Delegation Visits Shanghai Tobacco Group Source from: TobaccoChina Online 03/28/2011 A high-level delegation from Hauni Maschinenbau AG of Germany, led by Chairman of the Executive Board Christopher Somm, visited Shanghai Tobacco Group in east China's Shanghai City on March 18, holding talks with leaders of Shanghai Tobacco Group on further strengthening of business cooperation between the two sides.
In the talks with leaders of Shanghai Tobacco Group including Deputy General Manager Zhou Yongsen, Somm said that in a next period of time, Hauni will do all it can to satisfy the requirements of Shanghai Tobacco Group in terms of the time limit for delivery, individualized supply of equipment, quality of products, etc, as it has always done.
He expressed the hope that the two sides will further strengthen cooperation in the development and application of new production equipment and new technologies.
Speaking on the same occasion, Zhou expressed appreciation to Hauni for its efforts to support Shanghai Tobacco Group in its execution of the project of installing an exclusive line for producing Chunghwa brand cigarettes, saying that the two sets of equipment for the M5 exclusive line for producing Chunghwa brand cigarettes preliminarily manufactured by Hauni in accordance with the requirement of Shanghai Tobacco Group has been put into operation, and that both sets of equipment showed good performance in terms all indexes in inspection for technical acceptance.
Along with rapid growth of both production and sales of Chunghwa brand cigarettes, Shanghai Tobacco Group now requires the exclusive line for producing Chunghwa brand cigarettes to a better and faster capacity for producing hard-packaging Chunghwa, according to Zhou.
He expressed the hope that Hauni will complete the delivery of other equipment as early as possible, will complete the process of debugging as soon as possible, and will manage to create new ways of cooperation between the two sides, in actively seeking effective ways of joint development with Shanghai Tobacco Group.
