Provincial Corporation to Establish Reconstituted Tobacco Sheets Production Facility

Jiangsu Provincial China Tobacco Industry Corporation - the operator of the tobacco industry in east China's Jiangsu Province - will establish a reconstituted tobacco sheets production facility in Huai'an City of the province, with an annual production capacity of 10,000 tons. On March 21-22, the project to establish the reconstituted tobacco sheets production facility smoothly passed appraisal by a panel of experts. At a meeting to appraise the project, the panel of experts inspected the site designated to establish the reconstituted tobacco sheets production facility, heard reports filed by Jiangsu Provincial China Tobacco Industry Corporation on the basic conditions of the project and reports filed by Shanghai Haicheng Designing Institute in the capacity of the consultancy agency on preliminary technological programs for the project, checked relevant documents and data, and raised questions on technological layouts, planning, investment, safety, fire control, energy conservation, environmental protection and other aspects of the project. The reconstituted tobacco sheets production facility will be build on a 200-mu (13-hectare) plot at the Qingpu Industrial New Area in Huai'an Industrial Park, which is a provincial-level industrial development zone in Jiangsu Province. The plot is on the Development Avenue in the north, on Hengqi Road in the south, to Pufa Avenue in the east and on a textile enterprise to be built in the west, with convenient transportation conditions, which enables it to become a relatively ideal site for construction. The reconstituted tobacco sheets production facility will include a production workshop building, experimental workshops for research and development, raw materials storages, raw materials transfer and distribution houses, finished products and auxiliary materials comprehensive storages, essences and flavorings storages, production management houses, logistic support houses, a garbage collection station, a power supply center, a pumping house, a sewage treatment station, a gate of the facility, guards rooms, bicycle parking lots, etc., with a total construction area of 33,067 square meters.
