Altria is One of The Best

The Altria Group came in at number 35 when Corporate Responsibility Magazine announced on Thursday its 2011 "100 Best Corporate Citizens List". This list is recognized by PR Week as one of the US' top three most important business rankings. "The '100 Best Corporate Citizens List' compares the largest publicly-traded companies in the United States-based on the Russell 1000®-on their performance in environment, climate change, employee relations, human rights, governance, finance and philanthropy," Altria said in a note posted on its website. Altria is the only tobacco company on the list. "This recognition demonstrates Altria's progress toward proactively communicating our companies' business practices," said Jennifer Hunter, vice president of Corporate Affairs, Altria Client Services.
