China: Cigarette Factories Scrap Discarded Tobacco Machinery Under Supervision Source from: TobaccoChina Online 12/27/2010 Under strict supervision by inspectors from Hubei Provincial Tobacco Monopoly Administration, Hubei Provincial China Tobacco Industry Corporation and Erzhou City Tobacco Monopoly Administration, Wuhan, Enshi and the Three Gorges Cigarette Factories in central China's Hubei Province jointly scrapped 44 sets of discarded tobacco machinery at a freight yard in Erzhou City of Hubei in December 2010, in accordance with the Tobacco Monopoly Law of China.
Through a day of busy work, a large-sized excavator scrapped all the 44 sets of tobacco machinery, and the parts and components of the scrapped machinery would be transported to Erzhou Iron and Steel Works for meltdown.
In China, tobacco machinery belongs to tobacco monopoly commodities strictly prescribed by the Tobacco Monopoly Law. The State exercises strict monopolistic control over the production, use and scrapping of tobacco machinery in accordance with the law. Enditem
