Tobacco Man to Lead Chamber of Commerce

Reynolds American Inc. said yesterday that Alan Caldwell, its director of corporate and civic engagement at RAI Services Company, has been elected the 2011 chairman of the Winston-Salem Chamber of Commerce. "My goals are to help the chamber continue to facilitate economic development and job creation for Winston-Salem and Forsyth County, increase the high-school graduation rate, and help local companies succeed," Caldwell said. Caldwell also serves on other local and state civic organizations including Winston-Salem Business Inc., the Downtown Winston-Salem Partnership and the N.C. Business Committee for Education. He was recently recognized as a "local mover and shaker" by the Triad Business Journal. Enditem
