Honghe Cigarette Factory Strives to Promote Production Equipment Management

Honghe Cigarette Factory in southwest China's tobacco-producing Yunnan Province has recently held a meeting to inaugurate a taskforce designated to take charge of the work of full-scale promotion of the leaf tobacco cutting and cigarette-making equipment at the factory to a higher level, in efforts to fulfill its plan to turn Honghe Cigarette Factory into an outstanding cigarette making enterprise. In in-depth promotion of management of production equipment and creation of outstanding successes in equipment management on a continued basis, Honghe Cigarette Factory has particularly established the taskforce, formally known as "the taskforce for the deliberation of ways of making outstanding achievements in promoting the management of leaf tobacco cutting and cigarette making equipment to a higher level". Attending the meeting to inaugurate the taskforce were Director Xu Yongming and Deputy Directors Zhang Hesong, ZhangYunfei and Li Bin of Honghe Cigarette Factory as well as members of the taskforce. Speaking at the meeting, Director Xu Yongming gave a seven-point instruction on how to realize promotion of production equipment management to a higher level, in keeping with efforts to make outstanding achievements in this endeavor: Firstly, it is essential to increase awareness, in order that the entire workforce will attach importance to the work to this effect. Secondly, efforts must be made to strengthen the basic work and provide guarantee for the work in this endeavor. Thirdly, complete and careful plans must be made to maintain the equipment in a sound way, and the relevant plans must be well implemented. Fourthly, item-by-time repair and overhaul of equipment must be rationally coordinated. Fifthly, it is essential to make overall plans and take all factors into consideration, in order that all promotional efforts will be organically combined. Sixthly, it is essential to strengthen supervision and performance grading, and improve the system of award and punishment.
