China: HongyunHonghe's SHEQ Management System Passes Certification

The HongyunHonghe Tobacco Group in southwest China's tobacco-producing Yunnan Province - the largest Chinese tobacco manufacturer - had its workplace SHEQ (Health, Environment and Quality) management system certified on November 4-5 by Beijing New Century Certification Co., Ltd. in the capacity of a third-party supervisory body. In conducting the certification, Beijing New Century Certification Co., Ltd. drew the conclusion that the SHEQ management system established by HongyunHonghe had always met the relevant standards, and advised HongyunHonghe to continuing maintaining the certification. On the morning of November 4, the first meeting on the certification was held at Meeting Room No. 2 of HongyunHonghe, where HongyunHonghe Deputy CEO He Guogang extended warm welcome to the panel of experts from Beijing New Century Certification Co., Ltd. and delivered an important address. He instructed all the departments of HongyunHonghe subject to the certification to do all they could to well cooperate with the panel of experts in the certification, and urged them to find out more problems and actively make corrections and improvements and continue to strengthen the internal management at HongyunHonghe, with continued strengthening of operation regulation, systematization and execution capacity as the targets. Before the meeting was held, the panel of experts had already completed its supervisory verification at Kunming, Honghe, Qujing and Huize Cigarette Factories of HongyunHonghe in preparation for the certification.
