Sales Up But Profit Down in China

China's tobacco product industry reported sales revenue for last year of Yuan443.41 billion, up by 13.15 per cent on that of 2008, according to a new report by Research and Markets. The sales growth rate was down by 3.13 per cent. At the end of last year, the industry's assets, at Yuan494.69 billion, were up by 11.89 per cent, but the growth rate during 2009 dropped by 6.09 per cent. The industry's profit was said in the report to have fallen by about eight per cent to Yuan62.59 billion. Enditem
