Project of Transformation, Relocation of Cigarette Factory Enters Final Stage of Fulfillment

The 464-million-yuan (67-million-U.S.-dollar) project of technological transformation and relocation of Ulanhot Cigarette Factory in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region has entered the final stage of fulfillment, with the cigarette-making equipment expected to be moved to the 64,400-square-meter new site of the cigarette factory in mid-June. To guarantee scheduled move and debugging of the cigarette-making equipment, most of the mechanical and electric technicians invited by the factory from other specialized enterprises have arrived one after another since mid-May. They will assist their colleagues at Ulanhot Cigarette Factory to move, install and debug the various models of machines. Presently, the technicians are busy installing new equipment for conveying cartons of cigarettes, automatic case sealing and cigarette filter sending, etc. So far, the construction and installment of infrastructure facilities for wind generation, water supply, electricity supply, gas supply, etc has been basically completed at the new site. Preparation has been completed for debugging the leaf tobacco cutting line. Final construction of workshop buildings, fine fitment and establishment of information systems are underway, and the whole work is expected to be completed soon. Ulanhot Cigarette Factory is a subsidiary to the HongyunHonghe Tobacco Group in southwest China's tobacco-producing Yunnan Province - the largest Chinese tobacco manufacturer. Enditem
