Ecological Leaf Tobacco Innovation Park to go into Operation in Southwest China

An ecological leaf tobacco innovation park newly established by Pu'er City Tobacco Company in southwest China's tobacco-producing Yunnan Province in association with four cooperation partners will go into operation in the near future. Taking advantage of the development of a new tobacco production zone in the local region and also the local region's favorable geographical position, favorable ecological environment, advantages in biodiversity, favorable micro soil environment and other unique advantages, Pu'er City Tobacco Company has managed to establish the Hongta Pu'er Ecological Leaf Tobacco Innovation Park in association with Hongta Tobacco Group, Yunnan Provincial Tobacco Science Research Institute, Yunnan Provincial Tobacco Agricultural Science Research Institute and Yunnan Reascend Tobacco Technology (Group) Co., Ltd.

The Hongta Pu'er Ecological Leaf Tobacco Innovation Park - based in Mengli Township of Ning'er County in Yunnan - has been the first of its kind in China. The Hongta Pu'er Ecological Leaf Tobacco Innovation Park has been established on the basis of the remarkable ecological style and characteristics of leaf tobacco grown in Pu'er, and also on the basis of general recognition by both the commercial and manufacturing sectors of the tobacco industry. Through the "one plus four" model, the management of the Hongta Pu'er Ecological Leaf Tobacco Innovation Park is in an organic link with the management of the raw materials base of Hongta Group. The Hongta Pu'er Ecological Leaf Tobacco Innovation Park is intended to make a good use of the unique favorable natural ecological environment in Pu'er. With construction of the base as a carrier, with market demand as the orientation, with application of research achievements as the core, with ecological characteristics as the foundation, and with realization of specialization of production and service, combination between research and generalization and realization of an all-win situation for farmers, tobacco manufacturers and commercial enterprises as the targets, the Hongta Pu'er Ecological Leaf Tobacco Innovation Park is an ecological leaf tobacco park capable of developing high-quality, ecological and safe leaf tobacco products with strong local characteristics. So far, the principal part of the Hongta Pu'er Ecological Leaf Tobacco Innovation Park has been fully constructed.
