Karelia's Omé Makes A Splash

Karelia Tobacco Co. has recently launched Omé Menthol (4 mg) in the United Kingdom. In cooperation with Villiger and Altadis France, the company had earlier launched its Omé super slims range in France. Since it was first introduced last year, the Omé range has debuted in 20 international duty-free and domestic markets in Europe, the Middle East and the Far East. Omé cigarettes are packed in a 20-piece compact "lipstick box" that easily fits into a handbag or pocket. Omé is currently available in three versions-Omé (6 mg), Omé Menthol (4 mg) and Omé Yellow (3 mg). "We are enthusiastic about the prospects for the Omé range," says Joanna Kamarinopoulos, public relations manager. "The results are very encouraging with both the Omé and Omé Yellow versions having been well accepted by consumers, especially in countries like Spain, where we are quite happy with the brand's initial performance."
