PMI Challenges Irish Display Ban

Philip Morris International hopes to bring to court later this year a case in which it is challenging the Irish government over its ban on displaying cigarettes in shops, according to a report in The Sunday Mirror.
PMI says the ban restricts its "ability to provide trade and services, thus violating Irish constitutional and EU law".
The ban, introduced in July last year, means that retailers may show cigarettes only when asked to do so by a customer.
PMI is taking action alongside shopkeeper Maurice Timony, of Donegal Town. Enditem
