High-Level Delegation of GD And Coesia Visits HongyunHonghe

A high-level delegation from the GD and Coesia Group - a large automated packaging machinery manufacturer in Italy - visited the HongyunHonghe Tobacco Group in southwest China's tobacco-producing Yunnan Province on March 16, holding in-depth talks with HongyunHonghe Vice-President Wu Yi on bilateral cooperation in HongyunHonghe's current project of technological transformation.

The GD and Coesia delegation included Chairwoman Isabella Seragnoli, Executive Director Angelos Papadimitriou and Commercial and Marketing Department Director Paolo Cremonini. The two sides reached consensus on continued coordination to promote the work of technological transformation at HongyunHonghe. At the talks Wu briefed the Italian guests on the situation of production and operation at HongyunHonghe as well as progress in the project of technological transformation. He recalled that HongyunHonghe has maintained long-term friendly relations of cooperation with the GD and that the GD provides good technologies and services, saying that exchange of opinions and visits between the two sides in various forms and at various levels has contributed to promoting mutual understanding and communication, which has in turn played a role in making bilateral relations closer. In the fulfillment of the project of technological transformation at HongyunHonghe's subsidiary of Kunming Cigarette Factory, equipment imported from the GD accounts for a large proportion of all equipment, Wu said, expressing the hope that the GD will attach great importance to this project by providing a best team and best organization and assisting HongyunHonghe in completing the process of debugging of equipment. The GD and Coesia delegation said that since HongyunHonghe is the most powerful large tobacco manufacturer in China, the GD and Coesia attaches great importance to cooperation with it, and also considers the current project of technological transformation of HongyunHonghe to be a highly challenging project.

The GD and Coesia jointly conducts research and development of the best technologies with the best customers, the delegation said, recalling that the GD and Coesia and HongyunHonghe have successfully fulfilled many projects. It pledged that the GD and Coesia will stick to its commitments to the provision of technologies and services, and will provide the best support to smooth implementation of the current project of technological transformation of HongyunHonghe.
