KT&G to Split CEO And Chairman Roles

KT&G Corp said yesterday that it would divide the roles of chief executive officer and chairman in order to improve corporate governance, according to a story in The Korea Herald quoting the Yonhap news agency. A non-executive director will be named as the new chairman of KT&G's board after a meeting of shareholders on February 26. Late last month, Min Young-jin, senior managing director of KT&G's production group, was nominated as the new CEO, a nomination that is subject to shareholders' approval. Enditem
