HongyunHonghe Earns Title as Most Credible Chinese Enterprise

The HongyunHonghe Tobacco Group in southwest China's tobacco-producing Yunnan Province - the largest Chinese tobacco manufacturer - won the title as "a most credible Chinese enterprise for the year 2009", which was granted at the 2010 Forum on Credibility of Chinese Enterprises and Development of Business Ethics held in Beijing on January 9, 2010.

The appraisal of the most credible Chinese enterprises is annually conducted by China Credible Enterprises Appraisal and Selection Committee under guidance by the Ministry of Commerce and the State-Owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, with a view to promoting the general development of credibility of Chinese enterprises to higher levels.
In the appraisal for the year 2009, 31 enterprises emerged as the most credible Chinese enterprises and 70 as credible Chinese enterprises. These are all outstanding enterprises that are in a favorable situation of operation in the development of credible Chinese enterprises, that are highly credible in business operation, that have a complete credibility management system, that actively fulfill their social responsibility, that have earned a relatively high degree of social recognition, that have maintained fine public records, and that have been appraised and selected by a panel of experts in accordance with the relevant standards for appraisal and procedures for publicity.
To mark the 60th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China in 1949, and also to honor the HongyunHonghe Tobacco Group for its contribution to the construction of new China and to the cause of reform and development of enterprises in China, HongyunHonghe was also awarded a "Medal for Chinese Enterprises Marking the 60th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China".
In the capacity of an enterprise honored as a "most credible Chinese enterprise", HongyunHonghe has pledged to further play a model role in developing a market environment of faithfulness, credibility and fair competition, and to make new achievements in promoting the development of a system of social credibility in China.
