The HongyunHonghe Tobacco Group in southwest China's tobacco-producing Yunnan Province - the largest Chinese tobacco manufacturer - won a "2009 Chinese Brand Social Responsibility Contribution Award" as part of the "Awards for Rising Brands" issued at the "Rising Chinese Brands and 2009 2nd Chinese Brands Forum" on January 16.

The "Awards for Rising Brands" were issued on the basis of grading by the organizing committee of the independent brands, market shares, industrial contribution capacity, international competitiveness, creation capacity, brands extension and expansion capacity, social responsibility and brands cultural significance of the candidate enterprises, as well as consumer comments and expert opinions on them.
Hongyun-Hongyun won the "2009 Chinese Brand Social Responsibility Contribution Award" as a result of its important status in the tobacco industry of China, its contribution to the socioeconomic development of China, and its great achievements made in adopting effectual measures to respond to the global financial crisis in 2009.
