Tenders Called for Bulgartabac Privatization Adviser

Bulgaria's Privatization Agency said on Friday that it was to stage an open tender for selecting a consultant for the privatization of Bulgartabac, according to a Novinite story.

The agency is looking for candidates from the international investment banking community with privatization experience and, in particular, experience in at least one tobacco company sell-off within the past three years. A Bloomberg story, meanwhile, said the consultant would be expected to recommend whether to sell the company on the stock exchange or through negotiations with potential buyers. Enditem
