Argentine delegation visits HongyunHonghe Tobacco Group

An Argentine delegation led by Albino Del Frari, chairman of the board of Tobacco Growers' Cooperative Co., Ltd. of Jujuy Province in Argentina, paid a visit to the HongyunHonghe Tobacco Group in southwest China's tobacco-producing Yunnan Province on October 29, holding talks with the Chinese hosts on Hongyun-Honghe's import of leaf tobacco from the company.

Attending the talks on behalf of the Chinese side were Li Ming, secretary of the Communist Party group at Yunnan Provincial Tobacco International Co., Ltd., Li Heng, vice-president of Hongyun-Honghe, and Wang Shaokun, assistant to the president of Hongyun-Honghe, as well as relevant leaders from the purchasing center and technical center of Hongyun-Honghe. During the talks, Li Heng said that Argentina is a large tobacco-producing country, and that since HongyunHonghe started import of leaf tobacco from Argentina in cooperation with Tobacco Growers' Cooperative Co., Ltd. of Jujuy, leaf tobacco imported from Argentina has played a great role in the production of high-end and high-grade cigarettes by Hongyun-Honghe. Through many years of cooperation, HongyunHonghe and Tobacco Growers' Cooperative Co., Ltd. of Jujuy have become good cooperation partners, Li Heng said, expressing the hope that both sides will be able to realize greater development in future cooperation leading to a win-win situation. Speaking on the same occasion, Frari said that Tobacco Growers' Cooperative Co., Ltd. of Jujuy wishes to gain continued technical support from Hongyun-Honghe. He expressed the hope that the two sides can, through further exchange and cooperation, continue to improve the quality of leaf tobacco, in order that leaf tobacco supplied by Tobacco Growers' Cooperative Co., Ltd. of Jujuy will be able to better meet the demand of Hongyun-Honghe, and that Tobacco Growers' Cooperative Co., Ltd. of Jujuy will be able to provide more high-quality leaf tobacco for HongyunHonghe in future. Also during the talks, leaders with the relevant departments of HongyunHonghe briefed the participants on the use of Argentina leaf tobacco in cigarette production by Hongyun-Honghe, and exchanged views with the guests on improvement of leaf tobacco quality, increase of leaf tobacco aroma, the cost-performance ratio, bilateral cooperation in the field of leaf tobacco cutting and processing, etc. Enditem
