High-level Thai delegation visits Honghe Cigarette Factory

A high-level Thai delegation headed by Jantima Sirisangtaksin, chairwoman of the Board of Directors of Thailand Tobacco Monopoly, recently paid a visit to Honghe Cigarette Factory of the HongyunHonghe Tobacco Group in southwest China's Yunnan Province, examining the technological process of cigarette production and holding talks with the Chinese hosts.

Accompanied by Deputy Director Zhang Hesong and Directorial Assistant Li Bin of Honghe Cigarette Factory, the Thai delegation was firstly shown around major production workshops of the factory to conduct a preliminary investigation of the technological process of cigarette production there. During the visit, the Thai delegation and leaders of Honghe Cigarette Factory held talks, in which the Chinese side introduced to the guests the history of Honghe Cigarette Factory and the situation of the HongyunHonghe Tobacco Group with PPT slides. In the talks, Jantima showed a great interest in the operation of the automatic logistic system and cost control at Honghe Cigarette Factory, and asked Zhang Hesong about relevant facts. Zhang Hesong replied that the automatic logistic system at Honghe Cigarette Factory is a system combining optical, mechanical, electrical and information technologies, and that its operation contributes to effectually increasing automation of production and operation as well as intellectualized control at the factory. On cost control, Zhang Hesong said that both quality control and cost control have always been core parts of the work of Honghe Cigarette Factory, and that a series of indicators for performance appraisal adopted by Honghe Cigarette Factory are designed in accordance with the targets of quality control and cost control, with the management of equipment as a key. As long as stable operation of equipment is guaranteed, and as long as efficiency keeps going up, the targets of quality control and cost control will be earnestly implemented, he said. Enditem
