The 2009 edition of Swedish Match's Kardus Superior Blend snus contains air-dried tobacco and a first-class, 23-year-old dark rum from Guatemala, along with sun-dried tobacco from the foot of the Andes in the Argentine province of Salta.
Swedish Match has produced Kardus annually since 2005, with each vintage having a unique and distinctive character. It is packed in hand-crafted cherry wood boxes and is issued in a limited edition of 500.

"The hand-picked ingredients are of the very highest quality and the authentic craftsmanship behind Kardus is in a league of its own," said Conny Andersson, tobacco expert at Swedish Match, while describing the "most expensive snus in the world".
Unlike traditional loose snus, Kardus is cut, which gives this product its special aroma and flavor. "This year's Kardus takes you on an exotic flavor journey, with hints of the Central American rum tradition and aromatic, high-quality tobacco from Argentina," said product developer, Lars ?berg, who developed this year's recipe.
Kardus is sold in 100 g packages for SEK450 a pack at six selected tobacco specialists in Gothenburg, Stockholm and Malm?. Enditem
