China's Tobacco Industry Holds On-The-Spot Meeting on Enterprise Management

The tobacco industry of China held an on-the-spot meeting on the management of tobacco manufacturing enterprises in Shanghai City on October 27-28, in which Deputy Director-General Li Keming of the State Tobacco Monopoly Administration (STMA) delivered a keynote speech on deepening the work of benchmarking to enhance the comprehensive competitiveness of the tobacco industry.

During the meeting, the participants, in line with the general requirement of strictness, regulation, efficiency and invigoration for the development of China's tobacco industry, discussed fulfillment of major tasks to promote cigarette production to a higher level, and summed up and exchanged views on the successful approaches and experience of both manufacturing and commercial enterprises of the tobacco industry in conducting the work of benchmarking in an in-depth way, in order to promote basic management of tobacco manufacturing enterprises to a higher level.
The HongyunHonghe Tobacco Group in southwest China's tobacco-producing Yunnan Province - the largest Chinese tobacco manufacturer - sent a high-level delegation to attend the meeting, and participated in panel discussions of tobacco manufacturing enterprises.
In his speech, Li Keming said that, in keeping with the fulfillment of major tasks for promoting cigarette promotion to a higher level, steps should be taken to deep understanding, sum up the successful experience in an in-depth way, and profoundly promote the work of benchmarking, in order to make positive contribution to enhancing the comprehensive competitiveness of the tobacco industry, and realizing sustainable development of the tobacco industry.
On promotion of the work of benchmarking by the tobacco industry in a next period of time, Li Keming put forward a package of three new requirements:
Firstly, it is essential to deepen understanding of the work of benchmarking.
Secondly, achievements in the work of benchmarking by both manufacturing and commercial enterprises of the tobacco industry should be summed up in an in-depth way.
And thirdly, the work of benchmarking should be promoted in an in-depth way.
During the meeting, the participants also visited Shanghai Cigarette Factory of Shanghai Tobacco Group, Shanghai HAIYAN Logistics Development Co., Ltd. and China Tobacco Museum. Enditem
