HongyunHonghe Rated Among Top Ten Chinese Enterprises under Madrid System

The HongyunHonghe Tobacco Group in southwest China's tobacco-producing Yunnan Province - the largest Chinese tobacco manufacturer - was rated among the Top Ten Chinese Enterprises covered by the Madrid System for the International Registration of Marks at a symposium to mark the 20th anniversary of China's accession to the system held in Beijing on October 18. At the symposium, the State Administration for Industry and Commerce rated the Top Ten Chinese Enterprises and the Top Ten Provincial-Level Administrations for Industry and Commerce covered by the Madrid System for the International Registration of Marks. HongyunHonghe was the only tobacco-manufacturing enterprise rated among the Top Ten Chinese Enterprises covered by the Madrid System this time, signifying that HongyunHonghe has achieved certain success in internationalizing its corporate marks, developing overseas markets for its exclusive brands and protecting its intellectual property rights. The development will be of profound significance to promoting the work of protection of intellectual property rights by Hongyun-Honghe. Media reports said that it was the first time for the State Administration for Industry and Commerce to honor Chinese enterprises registered overseas, suggesting that the competent administrative authorities of China are attaching great importance to the work of overseas registration of Chinese enterprises.
