HongyunHonghe Holds Symposium on Management of Affiliated Hotels Source from: HongyunHonghe Group 10/26/2009 The HongyunHonghe Tobacco Group in southwest China's tobacco-producing Yunnan Province recently held a symposium on the management of its affiliated hotels, in which the participants conducted sufficient discussions on strengthening the management of affiliated hotels, fulfillment of production targets and tasks, improvement of the professional quality of employees, sharing of resources, mutual assistance, business development in the near future, etc.
The symposium was called by the HongyunHonghe's department of management over investment in business diversity, and was attended by leaders of the department and the general managers of the five hotels affiliated to HongyunHonghe - the largest Chinese tobacco manufacturer.
Through earnest discussion and demonstration, the participants in the meeting reached consensus on the following points:
Firstly, in efforts to develop jointly-owned brands, the participants decided to design a common brand embodying the sharing of resources, with a unified logo similar to that of associated hotels. On the basis of this, efforts will be made to promote association between the five hotels, and apply the system of joint reservation of rooms and joint extension of preferential treatments. The Horizon Hotel will take charge of the work of designing. Meanwhile, the hotels that have not applied the system of reservation of rooms online or by phone were required to immediately install such a system.
Secondly, efforts will be made to further ascertain the level of management and service at the five hotels, in the interest of pertinently strengthening management.
Thirdly, multiform approaches will be adopted to improve the professional quality of the staff members and workers with the five hotels, with emphasis on attaching great importance to adopting the educational system of improving the quality of employees through the management of job posts.
Fourthly, the participants reached agreement on unification of standards for hotel service and hotel management, the standards for the duties of employees, the standards for the management of employees, etc.
And fifthly, the participants agreed that the five hotels should immediately start a process of close cooperation and in-depth cooperation, and practically realize the sharing of resources and mutual assistance in all aspects leading to an all-win situation. Enditem
