New Design for Classic SM Snus

Monday saw the first newly-designed cans of a 90-year-old snus roll off the production lines at Swedish Match. Göteborgs Rapé, which has been manufactured since 1919, has retained its recipe and flavor but has been given a fresh design complete with a new brand symbol GR. "The new can breathes fashion without losing its classical origins," said Jörgen Olofsson, creative manager at Amore Brand Identity, who was involved in producing the new design. Marcus Eileryd, brand manager at SM, meanwhile, referred to the new design as "an inspiring journey" that the company had described in a simple booklet.
