New, Expanded Facility for Conwood

The Conwood Company is to invest more than $133 million in relocating and expanding its Memphis, US, facility. The new site will house the company's manufacturing, research and development, and packaging and distribution operations. Conwood's existing Memphis plant, which was built in 1912, is at 46 Keel Street, while the new facility will be on a recently-purchased site at 5106 Tradeport Drive. "Conwood has a long and rich history in the Memphis area that dates back nearly 100 years, and the company is committed to supporting the area and its economic growth," said Mick Spach, vice president of operations for Conwood. "This is an important step toward expanding our capacity, securing Conwood's continued presence in the Memphis community and continuing to serve our employees and customers."
