Mumbai Production of Marlboro Starts

Marlboro cigarettes, for long available in India only as an import, have started to roll off the production lines of Godfrey Phillips' Mumbai factory, according to a story in The Times of India. Earlier this year, Philip Morris International reportedly sold a 10.8 per cent stake in Godfrey Philips to the K.K. Modi Group, its partner in the Indian joint venture, which reduced PMI's holding in GPI to about 25 per cent and gave Modi a 47 per cent share. Enditem
