HongyunHonghe Group Holds Meeting on Business Diversification

The HongyunHonghe Tobacco Group in southwest China's tobacco-producing Yunnan Province - the largest Chinese tobacco manufacturer - held a working meeting on business diversification in Qujing City of Yunnan on August 21, with the participation of more than 100 senior executives including Vice-President Gu Hong, leaders of the relevant centers, departments, offices and factories of the group, as well as leaders in charge of the work of business diversification. Qiu Yan, deputy chief of the Department for Management Over Investment in Business Diversification, delivered a report to the meeting titled "Changing the Concept, Raising the Spirit, Consolidating the Basis, and Realizing Sound Development of Enterprises in Business Diversification". In the report, Qiu briefed the participants on major situation of development of eight enterprises designated by the Department for Management Over Investment in Business Diversification to operate business diversification in the January-July period, and progress in efforts to fulfill the target of developing more than a dozen big competitive brands and incorporating more than a dozen big competitive enterprises. In light of the realities in the work of enterprises designated to operate business diversification, Qiu further defined the status, functions and duties of the Department for Management Over Investment in Business Diversification, and specified the relevant questions and requirements concerning the work of business diversification in the second half of the year. Also speaking at the meeting, Vice-President Gu Hong urged the Department for Management Over Investment in Business Diversification to always focus its energy on coordination, service and management in fulfilling its functions and conducting the work of managing investment in business diversification. Gu Hong said that all enterprises designated to operate business diversification should always base their operations on the concept of scientific development, and strengthen the work of basic management in accordance with the general requirement of the State Tobacco Monopoly Administration to "make regulation stricter, raise efficiency and be full of vigor and vitality".
