Deputy Chief of STMA Inspects Cigarette Factory in Inner Mongolia

Deputy Director-General He Zehua of the State Tobacco Monopoly Administration (STMA) - the regulator of China's tobacco industry - inspected Ulanhot Cigarette Factory in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region on July 29, giving instruction on technical transformation and future business development. Accompanied by Director Dong Xiaomin of Inner Mongolia Regional Tobacco Monopoly Administration, President Zhu Shaoming of the HongyunHonghe Tobacco Group and Director Liu Fengshu of Ulanhot Cigarette Factory, He Zehua respectively went to the leaf tobacco cutting workshop, the cigarette making workshop and the power room to examine production there. At the worksite, Liu Fengshu reported to He Zehua the situation of production and marketing of the cigarette factory. He Zehua made relatively high comments on the management of Ulanhot Cigarette Factory, requiring the enterprise to further strengthen management, regulate operation and enlarge its capacity in line with the values of the tobacco industry to put the interests of the State and consumers above anything else. Afterwards, He Zehua and his delegation went to the site of technical transformation and relocation of Ulanhot Cigarette Factory. He required the cigarette factory to fulfill the project of technical transformation and relocation at a high starting point, at a high level and with high quality. He also said that the STMA will, in line with the government policy of supporting the economic construction and development in regions of ethnic minorities, extend greater support to Ulanhot Cigarette Factory in its future development.
