BAT Says to Name New Chairman in September

Cigarette maker British American Tobacco Plc said on Thursday it will announce the replacement for chairman Jan du Plessis in September. Du Plessis is stepping down at the world's second largest cigarette group after five years following his appointment as chairman of global miner Rio Tinto . "The search for a replacement is going well and we hope to make a decision in September," du Plessis told a news conference after the group posted a 25 percent rise in half-year earnings. Enditem
