Delegation of Japan Tobacco Inc visits HongyunHonghe Tobacco Group

A delegation from Japan Tobacco Inc led by Iijima Kenji, Executive Officer and Head of Manufacturing General Division of the company, visited the HongyunHonghe Tobacco Group in southwest China's tobacco-producing Yunnan Province on July 1, exchanging views with leaders of the HongyunHonghe Tobacco Group on management over cigarette production. During the visit, the Japanese delegation was shown the main workshops of Kunming Cigarette Factory - a subsidiary of the HongyunHonghe Tobacco Group - and the new site of Kunming Cigarette Factory, to which it will move following completion of the project of technical transformation. The Japanese delegation asked in detail about on-site management of cigarette production at Kunming Cigarette Factory, planning and designing of the project of technical transformation and so on. At the end of the visit, the two sides held talks to exchange points of view on production management. Speaking at the talks, Vice-President He Guogang of the HongyunHonghe Tobacco Group briefed the guests on the general situation of the group and its guidelines on the development of cigarette brands. He particularly introduced the group's management over work processes, quality control, systemic development, etc, besides answering questions about production management raised by the guests. After hearing the introduction, Iijima Kenji said that through the exchange of viewpoints with the hosts, the Japanese delegation was able to better understand the situation of China's tobacco industry, including that of the HongyunHonghe Tobacco Group, and that the delegation had achieved a lot during the visit. Over recent years, the tobacco industry of China has developed rapidly. As the largest tobacco manufacturer in China, the HongyunHonghe Tobacco Group has much successful experience in production management, development of brands, etc that deserves study by others, Iijima Kenji said.
