The delegation groups General Manager Zhang Shuichang of Yunnan Provincial China Tobacco Industry Corporation, and President Zhu Shaoming and Vice-Presidents Xu Liwei and He Guogang of the HongyunHonghe Tobacco Group. Qujing City Mayor Yue Yaosheng and Chairman Zhao Jianhua of Qujing City People's Political Consultative Conference were also present during the inspection.
Receiving the delegation, Director Huang Muzhong of Qujing Cigarette Factory briefly reported major aspects of the work of his factory, saying that over the recent two years, Qujing Cigarette Factory has adhered to the policy of Putting People's First, and has striven to develop a management system with the ideas of "strictness, carefulness, practically and perpetuity" as its core.
Guided by the target of building itself into a "modern cigarette manufacturing enterprise", Qujing Cigarette Factory has made efforts to strengthen management in all respects, and has succeeded in continuously improving the quality of products, lowering the consumption of materials, increasing the comprehensive effect of equipment, improving worksite safety and raising other major targets of performance when its cigarette output keeps growing year-on-year, Huang said, adding that by the end of 2008, Qujing Cigarette Factory had already met the advanced technical standards set by the tobacco industry of China in terms of the consumption of some materials and energy.
Speaking on the same occasion, Zhu Shaoming said that the work of Qujing Cigarette Factory over the past few years has been satisfactory. He praised the factory for gradually regulating its management, making outstanding achievements in operation, and obviously driving down the cost of production in line with the assignments given by the HongyunHonghe Tobacco Group.
At a time when Qujing Cigarette Factory was required to process many types of products under a series of specifications, and when its project of technical transformation was yet to be completed, the factory exerted all it could to fulfill its assignments, making great contributions, Zhu said, adding that Qujing Cigarette Factory has taken a lead in building itself into a model enterprise, in benchmarking, and in meeting the technical standards for quality of the environment, occupational health and safety management, Zhu noted.
Despite the great achievements already made, Qujing Cigarette Factory still needs to further strengthen its operation, face up to the existing difficulties at the present period of transition for reforming the structure of cigarette brands, and build up its confidence, in order to overcome the difficulties.
Meanwhile, Zhang Shuichang also raised two requirements for Qujing Cigarette Facgtory:
Firstly, Qujing Cigarette Factory needs to strengthen the development of qualified human resources. Namely, it needs to strengthen the training of leading officials and the development of skilled workers.
And secondly, Qujing Cigarette Factory should strive to develop and produce first-rate products. Presently, although Qujing Cigarette Factory faces the difficulty of having to make many types of products under a series of specifications, it still needs to assure the quality of products and produce first-rate products.
