Cooper Becomes COO at Imperial Group

Mar 25, 2009-Alison Cooper has been appointed to the new role of COO at the Imperial Tobacco Group. In her new role, Cooper will be responsible for all sales and marketing, manufacturing and cigar business activities. At the same time, she will retain her former corporate development responsibilities, which include strategic planning, business development, corporate affairs and the integration of Altadis. She will report to chief executive, Gareth Davis. In welcoming the appointment, chairman, Iain Napier, said Cooper would focus on driving the operational performance and strategic direction of the business to ensure the maximization of its long-term future growth potential. She would also continue to manage the smooth integration of Altadis into the wider Group.
