Imperial Treasury Team Recognized

Feb 20, 2009-Imperial Tobacco's treasury team has won the "Treasury Team of the Year" award for companies with a market capitalization above ￡2 billion ($2.85 billion). Organized by The Treasurer magazine, the official publication of the U.K. Association of Corporate Treasurers, the award recognizes the all-round contributions of treasury teams to business success. In a year when finding funding in the capital markets has been particularly challenging, Imperial Tobacco's team successfully managed a significant flow of normal treasury business together with the integration of Altadis; one of the U.K.'s biggest-ever rights issues; and a dual-tranche €750 million/￡600 million bond in September 2008.
